UNIVERSITY OF ADELAIDE HEALTH & MEDICAL SCIENCES BUILDING

KPD systems were integrated alongside some customised solutions also provided within the scope of laboratory fitout.

The Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences building features state-of-the art simulation suites and cutting-edge technology to incorporate immersive, skills-based learning. With shared, adaptable learning and social environments, the building promotes flexibility, interprofessional learning and collaboration across medicine, nursing, dentistry and health and medical sciences.

Situated adjacent to the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) (link to SAHMRI project), staff and students at the AHMS will work and learn alongside a network of industry experts and health researchers as part of BioMed City to prepare the next generation of health leaders.

The AHMS building will bring together more than 1600 students and 600 health researchers in a vibrant and innovative environment where learning and discovery work hand in hand.

Over 12 floors, the building contains:

  • 4 floors of laboratories
  • 3 lecture theatres
  • 24 advanced simulation suites
  • A dental hospital
  • Study spaces, eateries and amenities
