KPD were invited early in the design process by BVN Donavan Hill architects and ABI Group/Cockram Constructions to advise on the laboratory Services reticulation and benching systems. All the laboratory areas over the eight floors of research spaces are fitted with KPD systems including the compact services spines with ARS30 reagent shelving for PC2 and PC3 compliance.
Westmead Millennium Institute is a world-class medical research facility located on one of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest public hospital campuses that is home to Westmead Hospital, The Children’s Hospital, Children’s Medical Research Institute and Kid’s Research Institute.
The facilities house high-tech equipment creating an environment that will encourage collaboration, cohesion and the sharing of ideas, knowledge and expertise. It brings together WMI’s more than 450 researchers currently scattered in and around our neighbouring Westmead Hospital, and allow them bounce ideas off each other and work together more freely.
