UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA – HEALTH INNOVATION BUILDING (HIB)

KPD was invited to assist architectural firms BVN and Swanbury Penglase with the design development of the laboratory spaces including the bespoke PC2 student research spaces as well as the implementation of KPD standard lab furniture systems.

The iconic 14 level building, located in Adelaide’s new Health and Biomedical Precinct, houses a technically advanced health science facility with several core functions. The Centre for Cancer Biology and Sansom Institute for Health Research, Pharmacy and Medical Sciences comprises specialist research facilities and supporting office spaces, office accommodation and an animal house facility. There is also teaching and learning spaces for Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science students.

Located adjacent to three other KPD projects; the New Royal Adelaide Hospital, the SAHMRI building and Adelaide University’s Medical and Nursing School, HIB is a high-profile landmark and an integral part of the new South Australian Health and Biomedical Precinct. The building Opens in Early 2018
